Demanding the inclusion of the Jats in the OBC category, agitating Jat leaders today rejected the offer made by Haryana government and asserted that their agitation would continue till their demand is met. “There is no solid offer made by Haryana government”.
The Delhi chief minister had said in a tweet that he is anxious about water supply to the national capital. They said even the ruling BJP is in favor of reservation.

Reacting to it, Mailk said, “the government should first bring an ordinance and then bring a Bill in Haryana Vidhan Sabha for giving reservation to Jats. They should bring a law in the Assembly with regard to Jat reservation and get it passed”, he said.
The Jat stir escalated even as the Haryana government called an all-party meeting in Chandigarh to discuss the reservation issue and the Jat protests.
The government took this decision in order to block the social media which was being used by the Jat protesters to mobilise the youngsters to join the agitation. Hisar, Deputy Commissioner Chandershekar Khare has imposed Section 144 of the CrPC in the district. The request has been sent.
Khattar had said earlier that the government would take action on the basis of the report of the committee headed by the Chief Secretary.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s officer on special duty Jawahar Yadav dubbed the firing incident as “unfortunate”.
The army has been deployed to restore order.
The camp office of BJP MLA Manish Grover in Rohtak was also set on fire on Friday night.
India’s paramilitary forces shot and killed one person on Friday as protests for government benefits turned violent in the northern part of the country, police said. The BSF fired in self-defense and one person was killed. Two other people succumbed to injuries in hospital after police fired on rampaging mobs. “We are trying to rescue him”, he said.
The protesters have also blocked railway tracks.
Indian Air Force helicopters did several sorties to transport soldiers into some parts of Rohtak town. At Gohana bus stand in Sonipat, sources informed, that a mob of agitators entered the bus stand and broke the glasses of 30 odd buses.
Last month a similar group in southern state of Andhra Pradesh resorted to arson and torched a police station and several vehicles.
The authorities have also blocked Internet and SMS services in the affected districts.
The protesters have blocked major highways and disrupted rail traffic since Wednesday, prompting police to clamp prohibitory orders on many districts.
The ongoing agitation has severely affected the train services in the states.
All India Jat Aarakshan Sangarsh Samiti’s national president, Yashapal Malik, had extended support to the protesters.
