Correia wants ‘justice’ vs Rousey
In Countdown to UFC 190: Ronda Rousey vs Bethe Correia, an emotional Rousey opens up about the impact Correia’s comments had as a result of her father’s death.
On the other hand, Correia comes in very confident with her skills and strategy to beat the champion. Rousey has gone on record stating that she hates Correia more than her rival Miesha Tate, which should make for an interesting fight. She has the fastest ascension in MMA history.
“Ronda has this characteristic of being this almighty flawless fighter, and the media’s created this illusion that she’s unbeatable”. When she realises she is not all that, I don’t even know what could happen.
The undefeated Brazilian native will step once again inside the ring after a year furlough due to a serious vision problem. It took a while for her to be green-lighted, medically and officially, into going heavy and hard training and sparring sessions. “It’s not gonna be good for her career”.
Trouble brewed between Rousey and Correia when the latter said she hopes the UFC superstar wouldn’t kill herself if she loses the crown in UFC 190.
There’s no love lost between Rousey and Correia heading into this one.
Since losing to Rousey, Tate has racked up four consecutive victories, including her unanimous decision win against Jessica Eye at UFC on Fox 16 on Saturday. This is Tate’s second chance to get the title after bowing down to current champion Rousey in 2013.
“I didn’t see it”, Rousey said of the Tate-Eye match.
