BCB announces ticket rates for Asia Cup T20

India skipper MS Dhoni has echoed same sentiments and termed India a balanced team, adding that playing T20s ahead of the World T20 is helping his side.

Dhoni said winning games would be the top priority in Bangladesh but stressed that he would give everyone in the squad a game before the World T20.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Wednesday announced the rates of different categories of tickets for the Micromax Asia Cup T20 Bangladesh’ 2016 beginning on 19 February at Khan Saheb Osmani Stadium in Fatullah of Narayanganj, reports UNB news agency.

Defending Champions, Sri Lanka, will take on the victor of the qualifying round tournament in the opening game on 25th February, before they meet hosts Bangladesh on Sunday 28th, and India and Pakistan on 1st and 4th March respectively before the knockout stage.

Dhoni and his men were the runners up in the last edition of the tournament.

Dhoni also praised his bowling attack, featuring Jasprit Bumrah, Ashish Nehra, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin, saying it has always been India’s strong point. “This team has all the ingredients, but what will be important is to keep the side fit, and try to give as many games to all the individuals who are part of the team”, said Dhoni. “If we don’t qualify then there will be questions whether we’re good enough to handle pressure at home”.

Reflecting on his side’s strategy, the 34-year-old said that India would try to dismiss the big hitters as early as possible in order to keep the match in their favour. Dhoni showed glimpses of his best form during the course of his 47, and later said: “I would like to bat slightly up in the order so I can play a bit more freely”. “It’s a world today where everything is covered by media”, an irritated Dhoni said on the oft-repeated query of his retirement.
