Mourinho rules out San Siro return
Many reports suggest Mourinho will replace Van Gaal ahead of United’s next league game against Arsenal, and former Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp believes the Portuguese’s appointment is a “done deal”.
The Manchester Evening News allege that United contacted Jorge Mendes to determine whether Mourinho was contemplating a return to Inter Milan, who he led to the treble in 2010.
United are in serious danger of fading into mediocrity following a disastrous campaign and you get the sense that letting Mourinho go elsewhere would be a mistake, particularly with Manchester City bringing in Pep Guardiola next season.
