Nile Rodgers Defends Lady Gaga’s David Bowie Tribute at the Grammys
One of the highlights of Sunday night’s Grammy Awards for many music lovers was Lady Gaga’s performance honoring the late David Bowie, who passed away from cancer in January. However, then came the sad passing of David Bowie, and the performance was quickly turned into a David Bowie tribute.
Of course, once Jones’ words were out there it didn’t take long for Gaga’s fans to decipher his dictionary puzzle.

Following the death of music legend David Bowie, Lady Gaga has been doing a string of tributes for him (including a Grammy’s performance), only to be slammed by “Ziggy Stardust’s” son.
Rodgers later produced Bowie’s chart-topping 1983 platinum album Let’s Dance, which likely led to his serving as musical director and sideman for Lady Gaga’s salute. Over the years Mother Monster’s voice and artistical performance on stage have made the headlines, yet last night she shone like never before, unbelievable her fans with her vocal performance singing the hits “Space Oddity”, “Ziggy Stardust”, “Suffragette City”, “Rebel Rebel”, “Fashion”, “Fame”, and “Heroes” one after another while dancing on stage.
Duncan wrote, “overexcited or irrational, typically as a result of infatuation or excessive enthusiasm; mentally confused”.
Duncan has not expanded on the meaning of his Twitter post, and Gaga has yet to respond to the apparent attack on her Grammys set. “Damn it! What IS that word!?”, Jones tweeted.
While a further fan declared: “Lady Gaga is the greatest performer of our generation”. “While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief”.
Speaking to Mashable before she took to the stage, Gaga explained: “The first thing that I did was just put together my own mixtape of my favourite David Bowie songs”.
“Due in June. Circle of life”.
