Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 set for India launch on 3 March
Xiaomi has officially announced that it will launch the Redmi Note 3 in India on March 3. The date was revealed on Xiaomi’s forum, where it is also asking Mi fans to register for the event.
The Redmi Note 3 comes in two variants: 2GB of RAM with 16GB of storage and 3GB of RAM with 32GB of storage. It was available in Dark Grey, Champagne Gold, and Silver colours and can be expected to be available at roughly the same price point in India. It sports an all-metal body and also packs a fingerprint scanner at the back, just like the original Redmi Note 3 with a MediaTek SoC. Regarding the price, we can speculate it to be around Rs 11000 to Rs 13000 price range but we can only know more once the device is launched.
In a Facebook post, Barra said, “Indian Mi fans, I’ve got GREAT news for you today-Redmi Note 3 has finally finished orbiting around India and will launch in New Delhi on March 3!”
We are at Mobile World Congress for the Mi 5 Smartphone announcement, where you can find all the information around the same while the Note 3 launch is following this major event. This Qualcomm processor doesn’t really come in the line of SD 615 processor, but instead uses a Hexa-core setup. It features a 5.5-inch IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (full-HD) resolution.
The smartphone has a 16-megapixel rear camera sensor with dual-tone LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera sensor. Both the versions run on Android Lollipop with MIUI 7 on top and packs a 4,000mAh battery. It measures 150x76x8.65mm and weighs 164 grams.
