Donald Trump in Westeros Makes a Disturbing Amount of Sense
Good luck getting any work done for the rest of the day after seeing Donald Trump dressed in Westeros garb.
The race for the Republican presidential nomination has already seen a huge amount of drama, to the extent where parallels can be found with hit HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones.
Political satirist Huw Parkinson has created a spoof video for Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s Insiders, which hilariously splices Mr Trump’s most controversial quotes with clips from the television show, giving us an insight into what we could expect if the Donald was in Westeros.
‘Winter is Trumping’ has been viewed more than 100,000 times since it was uploaded to YouTube on the weekend. “Am I the only one who finds that scary?”
Soon after, Daenerys Targaryen, with an army of sad looking folks behind her, attempts to get past gates that Trump is guarding.
It comes after Mr Trump partook in a heated exchange with Pope Francis last week. “But I simply say, if he says these things, this man is not a Christian”.
And it turns out Donald Trump is all for building something like The Wall around North America – but that may be too far-fetched a policy, even for him.
Wall politics continue with another central plot of the show featured in the video. But Trump turns them away with a terse, “No!”
“We have no border, we have no control”. You have to see this brilliant act of digital weaving yourself.
