Roman Reigns wins at Fast Lane, sending him to Wrestlemania
Brock Lesnar against Triple H for the World Heavyweight Title at Wrestlemania is the match that will draw the most, hardcore fans want to see it and the names are big enough for even the most casual viewer to be interested – it’s simply just best for business. Kevin Owens won with a quick pop-up powerbomb, and later on promised to make Wrestlemania “KOMania”. It’s also possible that Styles could win the match and then Jericho could snap afterward and turn full fledged heel creating the need for another match.
The New Day will appear on The Cutting Edge Peep Show where Edge and Christian – the greatest tag team in WWE history – will welcome the current Tag Team Champions as guests on WWE Fastlane.
Lesnar showed off his unbelievable strength at WWE Fastlane on Sunday night by suplexing Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose – at the same time.
Reigns overcame Brock Lesnar and Dean Ambrose in their triple threat number one contender’s match at WWE Fastlane on Sunday(Monday Manila time) in Cleveland. The match was OK but not as good as I thought it would be.
Alberto Del Rio def. Kalisto (c) by pin following a modified double stomp. And while WWE creative will have to do all over again in building up the Wrestlemania headliner, marketing it would be much easier with all the momentum Ambrose will be generating after this match. The show also featured matches for the Divas, United States and Intercontinental Championships.
It looked like Brie might shock the world with a victory after locking in the Yes Lock but Ric Flair’s daughter managed to reverse it into a Figure 8 to retain the title. Most of the matches received fair to good storyline support, yet WWE failed to make this feel like a must-see show heading into WrestleMania.
No real questions about this one, it’s clear that Becky and Sasha will be walking away with the victory here.
Ryback/Big Show/Kane vs. The Wyatt Family. They lost in the six man tag match against the Big Show, Kane and Ryback, and then were nowhere to be found in the main event. But as someone who knows the WWE as well as I like to think I do, I am going to tell you just how the writers have booked this show leading up to Mania, and if they haven’t booked it this way, they should have.
No titles changed hands at FastLane, which most likely means that Owens, Kalisto, The New Day, and Charlotte will all defend their championships at WrestleMania 32. Wrestlers will portray heroes or villains as they follow a series of events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches. It’s weird. We had heard names like Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker thrown around as possible opponents of Wyatt Family members.
Sasha Banks beats Tamina Snuka. WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens will be squaring off with the phenomenal Aj Styles, while in the Divas corner, Charlotte will take on Sasha Banks.
JR to call boxing on CBS Sports Network: WWE Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross announced on Twitter that he will call boxing for CBS Sports Network.
There was only one real surprise on Sunday night, but it didn’t come in the main event.
In absolutely shocking news, the combination of two egocentric former WWE superstars and a crowd-favourite team of performers who are now embroiled in a feud with the League of Nations, was interrupted by a very angry stable of Sheamus, Rusev, Alberto Del Rio and Wade Barrett.
