Modular design can make LG’s G5 smartphone and ‘friends’ the perfect fit

The phones have metal and glass design. Samsung’s press conference also featured Gear VR headsets in a big way, with each journalist receiving one for attending.

Samsung once again launched two versions of its new premium phone: the 5.1-inch flat screen Galaxy S7 and the 5.5-inch curved screen Galaxy S7 Edge in Barcelona, where the industry is gathered for the Mobile World Congress. Inside, you’ll find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor running up to 2.15GHz. Additional features include Samsung Pay mobile payment service, a bigger battery and 32 GB of internal storage with the ability to insert a micoSD card for up to 200GB of additional storage.

Samsung Galaxy S7 EE is offering the 32GB Galaxy S7 at a monthly cost of £49.99 (for 24 months) and an upfront cost of £9.99.

The dual cameras can record 4K videos of 3840×1920 pixel resolution at 30fps and single camera can record 2K videos in 2560×1440 pixel resolution at 30fps.

With the S7 and S7 Edge, Samsung is doing what it should have done years ago with its flagship Galaxy brand: Sell solid, eye-catching phones with competitive hardware and software features. According to Samsung, on constant video playback with the Always-On Display (AOD) feature off, the S7 can last up to 15 hours while the S7 edge has an extra three hours over the S7. If you’re with Sprint, it will be $27 for the Galaxy S7 and just short of $28 and over $31 for the S7 Edge on a 24 month plan.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are now finally official.

At 157g, the S7 edge weighs only 5g more than the S7.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 will go on pre-order starting February 23.

To make things exciting, Samsung also unveiled the Gear 360 camera alongside the Galaxy smartphones.

Mark Zuckerberg, co-founder of the social network service Facebook, also attended the showcase event, adding the company aims to forge deeper ties with Samsung, allowing more users to share 360-degree video content online.

Mr Zuckerberg also explained that while his parents logged him taking his first steps as a child by writing it in a baby book, and his siblings have used photos and video, he wants to capture his daughter’s using 360 video, which can then be viewed in virtual reality.
