Joey + Rory Celebrate No. 1 ‘Hymns’ Album
Joey + Rory’s final album, “Hymns & Stories That Are Important To Us” was just released on February 12, days before the Valentine’s Day and the Grammy Awards which they have been nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance.
Feek said his wife made him promise that he would attend if their duo was ever nominated again.
Joey + Rory have a major career milestone to celebrate this week. I told her I would be glad to. Then her smile widened and she winked and said, “and guess what…” I’ll know the victor before you do, ‘ ” added Feek in his blog.
Feek wanted to make Valentine’s Day special for his wife this year – knowing it would likely be her last.
The Feeks also shared a sweet Valentine’s Day together on Sunday, as Rory surprised his wife with a sushi dinner and flowers, and the couple shared an extra special moment snuggling together in Joey’s hospice bed.
Most recently, Rory offered a glimpse into their day-to-life with a touching photo of Joey making dinner from her hospice bed, reported People.
“We made it”, Joey told her husband, crying. “But for one sweet half-an-hour… that changed on Valentine’s Day”.
In the video below we see the genuine love that Joey and Rory have for each other, a love that has enabled Joey to defy the odds that her medical professionals gave her. I’m going to be that statistic that stands out and says, ‘She fought it. We did the most extreme surgery we can do in the gynecologic world, and she did well.’ But for whatever reason, it wasn’t enough, and God had different plans.
“For the most part, Indiana’s big day was nothing but joy and more joy”, Feek said. “The proud father captioned the video, “…”look papa, no hands”!!!
The family set up Indiana’s high chair in the room with Joey’s bed, so that she could share in her daughter’s birthday celebration, and cousins were on hand to help the toddler open dozens of gifts from family and fans alike. I took Indy to the grocery store this afternoon and by the time we got home she was saying sounds back to me without using sign language,”posted Rory proudly”.
