The TAB3 10 Business model (pictured left) is created to be a company-ready, employee-friendly tablet that pairs Android 6.0’s operative system with services that “matter most to business”, Lenovo said.
The TAB3 10 Business will come in black and is slated for a July release – pricing will be $200 for the Wi-Fi only model, $250 for the LTE model, and $300 for the LTE model with 3 GB of RAM. These models will be available from June 2016 for €119 and €149 respectively.
Optimised for enterprise mobility and vertical integration, the Tab3 10 is more affordable than Lenovo’s previous devices and stands a good chance of having a bigger impact in the business and enterprise markets. Sensors on the tablet include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor.
The tablet comes pre-loaded with Android for Work apps, Google Play for Work and supports industry solutions in areas such as classroom, point-of-sale and eHealth management. On top of that, the tablet comes with hardware encryption and policy management software, for better data security. As far as connectivity goes, there is NFC, GPS, dual-band Wi-Fi AC, GPS, RJ45 cables and card readers’ support, which will be enough to offer seamless connectivity to a power user. The Android-powered tablet has a 7-inch display supported by a 1GHz quad-core processor and optional 4G LTE mobile Internet. They also share the same 5 MP rear/2 MP front camera setup, although only the more expensive TAB3 8 gets auto-focus on the rear camera.
Lenovo Tab3 tablets price: Prices for the Tab3 7 start from $79 () for the Wi-Fi variant, and $99 (Rs 6,700 approx) for the LTE variant. Lenovo’s Adaptive Display technology filters out harmful blue light from the TAB3’s display to protect young eyes. Parents can enable safe web browsing options, restrict access to the tablet at chosen times and choose which apps the child can access.
Both the seven- and eight-inch versions allow users to set up individual user profiles and accounts on one tablet, keeping things organized for Mom and Dad.
The camera on the rear of each tablet is a reasonable 5Mp and on the front its 2Mp. Parents can even take a look at past tablet activity for unauthorized excursions. Lenovo is promising up to 12 hours of battery life, too, which is pretty attractive for any kind of tablet that seeks out business adoption. It comes in a handful of cheery case colors.
