Rick Grimes, Michonne Hook Up A One-Night Stand? Is Daryl In
Hello and welcome to “Gut Check: The Walking Dead” where I spout off at the mouth about the most recent episode as soon as it is done airing. This causes the group to redirect their mission to getting to the infirmary.
Michonne is apparently looking after him and she and Carl will be sharing a dramatic conversation. “And that’s kind of fun that it fuels the eyes that they view it with”. After such a dramatic mid-season opener during 6×09, the series gave us a well-earned break from the horror with lots of memorable moments between Rick/Daryl (like each of them admitting that the other was right about searching for more humans) and Rick/Michonne. He does, however, swipe the keys to the supply truck from Rick, driving away with their impressive haul. Rick and Daryl would enjoy their friendship and buddy chemistry, people would make light of their predicament when they could as a coping mechanism, and yes, people would be having sex.
Meanwhile, Carl and Enid are walking around the woods when Carl stops and sits to read what looks to be a comic book that was on the ground. It turns out that Carl and Enid (Katelyn Nacon) have been heading out into the woods themselves for some time now. By the time they’re fighting about it, Jesus takes off, saying he has to leave, or at least, that’s what he lets them think because seconds later, the two men hear gunshots coming from behind the building.
Daryl and Rick catch up to the guy who stole their truck and he is on the side of the road changing the tire on the truck. Their quiet afternoon of reading in the woods, however, gets interrupted by Michonne and Spencer. He might not wake them up in the gentlest way, but he seems to have a good reason. The two set out on a road trip and immediately come upon a barn housing a truck loaded with supplies.
But comic fans know him better as Jesus.
Or not. As they pull off into a field, there is banging on the roof of the truck – it’s Paul/Jesus! He and Daryl then continue to scuffle, but in doing so knock the parking brake loose and send the truck into the nearby lake. Instead of leaving him there on the ground, Daryl says he’s going to put him in a tree. Carl and Michonne have a bond of their own. After a night of lovemaking, the two are awakened in bed by Jesus, who has escaped from the infirmary and tells them, “We should talk”.
Michonne’s come a long way since she walked up to the prison with a basket of food. But then they hear what sounds like gunshots from behind the station.
Stick with us on this one, because what Rick Grimes and Michonne have done will definitely start to make sense for you. She follows him, and he admits that he has been wandering out beyond the walls by himself for weeks. She told AMC host Chris Hardwick that it was the “right moment” for the two, and that Deanna’s (Tovah Feldshuh) question for Michonne about what she “wants” helped the survivor get to that point. After burying her, our katana-wielding friend assures Spence he still has family in Alexandria, even if they aren’t blood relatives.
