Bill Cosby’s wife to face court hearing
In December 2014, Camille Cosby released a statement regarding the allegations against her husband, saying those who have accused him of sexual assault have been “given a pass” without their accounts ever being vetted. Lawyers for the women fought back, even threatening to use U.S. Marshals to bring her to court. She is expected to testify in one of the rooms at the hotel for a deposition connected to a civil suit against Bill, 78.
Cosby’s defence team said the deposition was private and that it would be making no further comment.

Camille does have the right not to answer questions, but Cammarata notes that her rights are limited and could result in a second deposition if a judge disagrees with any questions she decides not to answer.
The deposition is being held at the Springfield Marriott. Lawyers from both sides were seen briefly, however, before they entered the conference room where the deposition of Cosby was reportedly to take place. He said there is a spousal disqualification statute that protects Mrs. Cosby from revealing some information, but not all.
Joseph Cammarata, lead counsel on the Springfield civil action, yesterday fired off an email to Cosby lawyer Marshall Searcy warning him, his Los Angeles firm and Cosby of “remedies and consequences” if she fails to appear for her deposition, barring a cancellation by Mastroianni.
Carla told DailyMail.com that Camille was present in the home when she was attacked by Cosby.
“We’re hoping to learn about issues important to the case involving his relationship with her and his relationship with other women and his relationship with the business.”
“She doesn’t want to be here”. She wrapped up questioning in the lawsuit Monday evening.
The eight are Tamara Green, Katherine Mae “Kathy” McKee, Therese Serignese, Linda Traitz, Louisa Moritz, Barbara Bowman, Joan Tarshis and Angela Leslie.
Cosby also faces criminal charges in Pennsylvania.
There had been allegations of sexual impropriety against the “I Spy” actor for decades.
He recently lost a bid to get the Constand case thrown out but is appealing.
Camille, 71, has been married to Bill for 52 years.
