Bradley’s trainer wants a third fight with Pacquiao

Khan has forged a career in the United States, with his most recent three fights coming on the other side of the Atlantic, although his hopes of boxing Floyd Mayweather in September appear bleak.

“Eddie told me that he would be stupid not to support his fighter, so that’s what he was doing, basically, and to a point he is right: it’s all part of the game”, Khan said.

After the let down of the century match between Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, what is next for the man who came out on top. “I never believed that, I don’t believe that”. I don’t believe that.

“I’m just a little bit upset that I’m not getting the Mayweather fight again and if I’ll ever get it I don’t know”, Khan said.

“It’s nearly one of those things where it’s a tuneup, it’s going to be perceived as a cake-walk in a lot of people’s eyes”. It’s a tuneup similar to what Manny Pacquiao did to Chris Algieri.

“I have made it clear to Eddie that I want this fight to be a big fight worldwide, not just in the UK”.

After initially saying he would give Pacquiao a rematch, Mayweather reconsidered and bashed Pacquiao for attempting to use his shoulder injury as an excuse for his poor performance.

“Exactly the way I called it, that’s the way it happened”, Diaz said. Despite this, the belief that Mayweather would actually reconsider, and end his career with one last rematch against Pacquiao, makes a lot of sense on a number of levels.

The news is so unbelievable that boxing enthusiasts cannot even begin to wrap their heads around it. To be fair, Berto was a title-holder but his past six fights were not impressive enough to even register in the national consciousness. Once that first round, once that bell starts in the first round, he’s going to see if Pacquiao is a threat.

In that fight, he was exposed for being chinny and his spotty defense allowed southpaw Ortiz to land that left hand all night long.

Airing the Berto fight for free would please fans. Would British fighter Amir Khan finally get a shot against the champ, or perhaps would we see Mayweather pitted in a rematch against the Puerto Rican star Miguel Cotto.

Mayweather is known for taking a while to officially announce fights weeks after reports about them have emerged.

Contract extension talks between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Showtime/CBS reportedly are holding up the announcement of the boxer’s upcoming September fight, though a Showtime exec denies that is the case.
