Epic New Mini-Documentary About Conor McGregor’s UFC 194 Exploits (Full)
With the UFC lightweight championship super-fight between Conor McGregor and Rafael dos Anjos now agonisingly close, Fox Sports have embraced the philosophy espoused in that phrase by releasing a new behind-the-scenes mini-documentary about “The Notorious” one’s last assignment.
You’ve seen the knockout that rocked the mixed martial arts (MMA) world, now it’s time to see the events leading up to Conor McGregor’s 13-second destruction of Jose Aldo at UFC 194 last December.
But the Brazilian’s injury means the UFC are scrambling to find an opponent for McGregor with less than two weeks’ notice.
The Irishman, you suspect, will be hugely disappointed, especially as this is the second time in quick succession an illustrious opponent has pulled the plug so close to fight night; in his last eight fights, the man set to face McGregor has now dropped out on four occasions.
The UFC are yet to confirm that the fight is off, but this tweet from John Kavanagh suggests that bad news is on the way.
The March 5 card at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas features Holly Holm vs. Miesha Tate as the other co-main event.
The fighter, who made his debut at welterweight over the weekend, is apparently on the shortlist for the bout, according to Ariel Helwani of MMA Fighting.
That clash also had to be rescheduled after then champ Aldo withdrew from his initial fight with McGregor eleven days before UFC 189.
Multiple sources claim that Dos Anjos broke his foot while preparing for the showdown.
