Samsung Debuts The Brand New Galaxy S7 And S7 Edge
Ltd unveiled its latest flagship devices – Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge on Sunday at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
We recently saw Samsung unveiling its not so best kept secrets – the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge. The software will give users the ability to screen calls, and identify the callers of incoming calls. A new feature by Samsung is the option of an always-on display that will show time, calendar as well as notifications without the phone being woken up.
When the Samsung Galaxy S6 launched without a removable battery or microSD slot, a lot of people were angry.
Facebook wants virtual reality (VR) to enhance people’s social lives, setting up a dedicated “Social VR” team to look at how the technology can help people connect with one another.
Samsung also debuted its first 360-degree camera, the Gear 360.
The Galaxy S7 has a 5.1-inch display and measures around 7.9mm thick, whereas the Galaxy S7 Edge with its 5.5-inch display is slimmer at 7.7mm. The Samsung head also pointed out that they are expecting the Galaxy S7’s sales to top those of the S6, “The Galaxy S7 is slated to go on sale in 60 countries on March 11”.
The social network is also improving its 360 video feature, the blog post confirmed. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge might be the best-looking phones Samsung’s ever produced, and they managed to bring back two of the three features they dropped from the S6. “We strive to deliver on that vision with the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge by marrying elegant design with functionality and providing a seamless mobile experience”, explains D J Koh, Samsung’s new president of Communications Business. More modules are expected to soon release for the LG G5 in the near future, including one which would allow the users to fly and control a drone using the phone!
