Nation of Islam Offers to Protect Beyoncé on Tour If Police Won’t
Beyonce’ has not responded to the offer.
“She started talking that black stuff and white folks said, ‘We don’t know how to deal with that.’ …”
Beyonce’s performance featured her and her dancers wearing outfits that paid tribute to the Black Panthers, the radical socialist organization in the US that challenged police brutality against African Americans between the 1960s and 1970s. But one person has promised Queen Bey the protection she needs despite the dissent she has garnered: Minister Louis Farrakhan.
Appearing on “Fox & Friends”, Giuliani called her performance an “outrageous” attack on police officers. So far, Miami, Tampa and Tennessee police have begun boycotts against volunteering to work at the “Formation World Tour”, as well as purchasing tickets.
The Nation of Islam leader responded: “Look at how you treat Beyonce now”. As several law enforcement groups have vowed not to provide security for Beyoncé’s “Formation” tour, Minister Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam has pledged the Fruit of Islam to secure the tour. You gonna picket. You not gonna offer her police protection.
Farrkhan also offered support for rap star Kenrick Lamar, whose “Alright” hit has been dubbed as the anthem for the Black Lives Matter movement.
“So we say to our hip-hop community: Say what you feel”. But we had sympathy for you.
