Tyra Banks won’t host ANTM revival
The new season, which will be the series’ 23rd, will be the first not hosted by series creator and longtime executive producer Tyra Banks.
Attention, America’s Next Top Model fans: VH1 is giving you something to smize about. “Get ready for a fierce-a-fied rebirth”, she added. America’s Next Top Model is back!
We were surprised – but not too saddened – when we originally found out that America’s Next Top Model had been cancelled by The CW after 22 cycles. “This is a homecoming for the series, as VH1 helped catapult the show to cultural icon status as the first cable network to air the show after it launched”.
I am beyond excited to have the show reborn.
America’s Next Top Model is heading back to television with a new network and a new host!
“We hope this is the beginning of a long relationship”. Tyra Banks will no longer be hosting the show.
The show was thought to have ended in December after 12 years on the CW and its predecessor UPN, but CBS staked a claim shortly after the supposed wrap-up was announced and partnered with VH1 to make it happen.
Of course, while it’s a bit of a shock that ANTM is already coming back-let’s face it, we barely had time to miss it- it’s not all that shocking that Tyra Banks won’t be back as the host of her baby. “You know, another approach to the modeling world”.
