Star Wars Battlefront is getting a patch today
Star Wars Battlefront will also be getting its first paid DLC expansion sometime in March.
The new map based on the frozen planet comes with a new mission challenging fans to stay alive in Ice Caves on Survival. On top of the two pieces of previously unavailable gameplay, the patch’s 4.4 gigabytes of information has loads of additional alterations and bug fixes that can be read in full on the next page.
The new Hoth map, titled Twilight of Hoth, is expected to support all of Battlefront’s 40-player game modes, including the recently-introduced Turning Point mode. Star Wars Battlefront developers only announced their inclusion, and didn’t provide any further information.
The February update offers the option for gamers to to add a video grain filter to the screen in order to enjoy the action as if you were playing in Star Wars’ 1970s heyday. However, Chewbacca’s weapon of choice will have slightly reduced splash damage, as its explosion radius drops from 3 to 2.5m. Thankfully DICE thinks so too, as they are increasing the vehicles hit box to make the craft easier to bring down.
