Laquon Treadwell won’t run 40-yard dash at NFL Combine
Offensive tackles Laremy Tunsil and Fahn Cooper, wide receivers Laquon Treadwell and Cody Core, defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche and linebacker C.J. Johnson will all be participating in the various drills.
Rob Rang projects Treadwell to the St. Louis Rams at No. 15 in his current mock draft, while Dane Brugler has him going one pick later to the Detroit Lions.
Interestingly, questions about his speed likely won’t be answered at this week’s NFL Scouting Combine.
However things shake out over the next couple of months for Treadwell, everyone expects him to be a major impact player in the National Football League for years to come. Treadwell has stated that he plans to train for the 40 yard dash in Miami and hopes to run a 4.4 or a 4.5.
A lot now hinges on how Treadwell runs at his Pro Day. We’ll surely hear far, far too much about Treadwell’s 40-time in the coming days, but he’s a fantastic on-field receiver regardless of how fast he can run in a straight line while wearing the bare essentials of Under Armour. If he runs that 4.4, he will solidify his spot as the best receiver in this draft and he might even be taken by the Ravens in the draft.
