Hillary Clinton Wins the Democratic Caucuses in Nevada
Sanders’ supporters are alleging that foul play by casino managers helped Clinton out in Saturday’s contest, while Clinton’s camp has blasted – in at times vulgar terms – the Vermont senator’s assertion he took the state’s Latino vote.
The polling of voters was conducted for The Associated Press and the television networks by Edison Research as voters arrived at 25 randomly selected caucus sites. Mrs Clinton disputed the poll.
Clinton Sunday admitted she must prove her trustworthiness to voters. Bernie Sanders had captured a small lead over Clinton however other polls have been unable to replicate the same results.
With just four days left until the South Carolina Democratic primary, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are in the south together for the first time. Entrance polls show Clinton netted 76 percent support of the black vote – a firewall for her in the next primary Saturday in SC.
While Sanders outraised Clinton in January, a new fundraising report showed he went on a spending spree at the start of the year and ended last month with about $15 million in available cash – less than half of Clinton’s cash on hand.
Beyond gender and ethnicity, the other big division in the Nevada vote pitted experience and electability against empathy and trust.

Mrs Clinton herself disputed the loss of the Hispanic vote.
“They do have a tendency to make stuff up”, Sanders’ spokesman Michael Briggs said in an email. Clinton overwhelmingly won that group, too.
Hillary Clinton needed to win the Nevada caucuses in order to gain back the momentum.
Nine of them are super delegates who are free to support either candidate.
About 7 in 10 caucus voters called themselves liberal. The Democratic Party does not release the initial preferences of all 80,000 caucus-goers, just which delegates the candidates received.
The enthusiasm for Hillary Clinton is not comparable to the craze for Barack Obama during his first presidential campaign where he managed to position himself as the “Messiah” precisely because – unlike Hillary Clinton – he had no record whatsoever. And we will continue to work hard to make that case and to win over as many voters as possible to get the nomination. She won Iowa because older voters turned out more than they did in 2008 and because younger voters turned out less.
The senator held a rally in Columbia, South Carolina on Sunday, where he now trails Clinton by more than 20 points.
As of yesterday morning, no one could say with any confidence who was even favored.
