Colter Hettich/New York Daily News A sheriff’s deputy and a gunman were killed in a shooting in central Colorado, police said.
One of the deputies is believed to have life-threatening injuries, Medina said.

Authorities have not confirmed the exact location of the shooting.
In 2014, the Colorado Foreclosure Resistance Coalition website said Wirth faced eviction and it urged people to go to the home to support him.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the Colorado State Patrol and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation have been called in to assist with the investigation.
‘We are now calling for a non-violent eviction resistance at Martin’s, ‘ said the group’s website.
The man opened fire with a rifle after the deputies from the Park County Sheriff’s Office went to the home in a forested mountain community north of the town of Bailey, about 45 miles southwest of Denver. A call to the Colorado Foreclosure Resistance Coalition wasn’t immediately returned. Medina was unable to say whether anyone else was in the home or whether another shooter was involved; she did say that the community at large was in no danger.
