Samsung says Galaxy S7 to top S6 in sales
As the norm is with software updates, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update is being pushed to users in stages, meaning it would take a while until it reaches everyone. Now, Android 6.0.1 firmware upgrade is also available for the Cambodian edition of Galaxy Note 5 that has a model number of SM-N920C. This has been a very long awaited update and we finally have a release date to look forward to regarding the OTA being rolled out.
Sure, the Marshmallow update has certainly made a significant impact on the improvements toward Android devices, but what you probably wouldn’t know is that it’s also got its fair share of criticisms too.

This particular update will have the standard issue Marshmallow benefits such as Doze, Google Now on Tap, in addition to redesigned app permissions, not to mention the latest Samsung Web browser which will boast of ad-blocking support to boot. Following the release of the update, it is expected that the Android 6.0.1 update will continue to roll out to other networks and eventually to unlocked units. This should be offset by the improved battery life and by giving the user more control over brightness settings in general. Several other Huawei smartphones have already received the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, and now it’s time for the Honor 6.
The Note 4 was the first Samsung device to receive an official Marshmallow update, USA and United Kingdom users might have to wait until March or April for an update rollout.
Sub-pixel rendering, a key new technology in the screen which Samsung has widely trumpeted, is also said to be behind the device’s impressive brightness and resolution.
