Capcom offers update on unstable Street Fighter 5 servers
Besides being chewed out by reviewers for its current sparsity of content, the game has been causing headaches left and right for players attempting to play online (and remember, the game at this time is almost all online content). He says that, “Matchmaking for Ranked and Casual battles is continuingly being improved for most users”.
“The team is looking into adding an Arcade Mode and we’ll have more information to share soon”, the spokesperson commented.
Street Fighter V has had some issued in the online department since it launched, though Capcom has been very clear that they are aware of the issues and have been keeping fans up to date on the latest fixes they have been rolling out.
Regarding Battle Lounges, the blog explained: “Improvements to Battle Lounges have been made in that users should not get disconnected once they are in a lounge”.
Fortunately, Capcom hasn’t ruled out the addition of an arcade mode further down the line.
Speaking of lack of content, one of the biggest absences of the game is a fighting game staple: the trusty Arcade Mode.
Capcom’s representative also revealed that the company is considering the options for adding difficulty sliders to the existing story mode in Street Fighter 5. What I mean is that when Capcom wanted to make big changes to the game, they didn’t simply do so by issuing a patch or an update, they released a whole new game, usually retailing around $40-$50.
