My best is yet to come: Sonam Kapoor
Based on the life of air-hostess Neerja Bhanot, the movie has been co-produced by Fox Star Studios India and Atul Kasbekar’s Bling Unplugged and directed by Ram Madhvani.
Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor took to Instagram to share a picture of Malala, who herself is a symbol of courage in the face of fear, along with her kind words about her film.
She further said that she would not like to start all over again and will only do something if it holds a lot of weight – she wants a “strong, amazing” character. “I got a similar response with Raanjhanaa”. I have a long way to go. I hope and pray that this is not my best yet.
Apart from being a stewardess at the Pan Am airlines, Neerja was also a model. For me conquering and honing my craft is more important.
“Aneesh and Akhil saying that they could not differentiate between Neerja and me, for me that was something…” I started crying. I felt, ‘What else do I need?’ I connected well with Rama aunty (Neerja’s mother) too. Her story is no less captivating and she comes out a victor all through as she survived the vicious attack on her and fought to live not just to tell her story but to continue fighting for her cause. The film is released on February 19, 2016.
