London hostage situation resolved as man arrested
Officers at the scene said the man had been found with a knife in his pocket and he had been arrested.
Two other people were also believed to be in the restaurant and it is understood the people were known to each other.
Officers surrounded the building and were negotiating with the man.
According to the BBC, a man who claimed to have a knife was holding a woman hostage inside the restaurant. “No reported injuries”, a statement on the official Twitter page of London’s Metropolitan Police Service says.

Photos on social media showed a large number of police vehicles and dozens of officers, including some in riot gear, in the area.
