Dallas Singer Dalton Rapattoni Cruises Into Top 10 on American Idol
Boston Globe reported that when Vaid and Marlena Johnson boarded the same flight from Logan to LAX, they didn’t realize they were traveling for the same objective: To compete on the final season of “American Idol”.
During the start of the Thursday night (February 25) episode, four singers from the top 14 were cut from the competition.
American Idol 2016 finalist Dalton Rapattoni was one of the lucky four contestants passed directly to the season 15 Top 10 by the judges. From there, the remaining ten singers sang for America’s votes, including MacKenzie Bourg, in hopes of snatching up one of the remaining spots in the Idol Top 10!
Wednesday’s (Feb. 24) episode of “American Idol” found the remaining hopefuls bringing all they had with the hopes of winning the hearts and minds of American voters.
Clarkson said she was among the millions who were blown away by McIntosh’s emotional audition video, when she played piano and sang Mickey Guyton’s “Why Baby Why”.
Isabella performed “I Put A Spell On You” and Lopez was surprised by her “sassiness” and how she’s coming into her own. Regardless of any ups and downs she might have going forward, Tristan deserves to be in the Top 10.
Fans of Vaid and viewers at home seemed to agree with Lopez’s comments, taking to Twitter to praise the performance.
Stringfellow sang “Story Of My Life”.
McIntosh took the stage with “What Hurts The Most” and Urban dubbed it a “beautiful song choice” for her voice.
Judge Jennifer Lopez gave Vaid a standing ovation at the end of her performance. Connick told her that she has a unique sound and that everyone may not “get it”.
Geneve Rose Mitchell delivered a soulful version of Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire”. As she continued to gush, Harry Connick, Jr. amusingly yelled, “I think she liked it!” You’ll need a Facebook account.
Dean is equally as impressed with Jenn.
