Trump leads Rubio in Florida by double digits
The conservative firebrand senator came in first-place in the Iowa caucuses but has not been able to notch another win since, and has been forthright about the ramifications of Super Tuesday, especially the significance of his home state of Texas, where there are 155 delegates at stake. Some math reveals he also has little support among USA voters. At some point soon, a single, clear alternative could emerge. Supporters of Bush –considered an “establishment” candidate — are under pressure to endorse Rubio and shun Trump, an outspoken populist who has never been elected to office and is running as an outsider.
“He says five things: everyone is dumb, he’s going to make America great again, win, win, win, he’s rising at the polls, lines around the state”, he said to another round of applause and laughter. On stage with Trump will be US Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, US Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, Ohio Governor John Kasich and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson. In fact, most Latino Republicans rallied behind Donald Trump yesterday evening, with the majority of Latinos voting for Trump.
Mr. Rubio, though, said that it is misguided for Mr. Trump to think could cut a deal because the current makeup of the Palestinian Authority won’t allow that to happen. When he hits me, ugh, is he going to be hit.
Can Trump’s rivals stop him? And if Kasich doesn’t win a respectable number of delegates on Super Tuesday, perform strongly in MI on March 8, a home-state victory might prove hollow indeed.
The candidates were pressed on why they haven’t released their tax returns as promised.
So far, Trump has 81 delegates. And for now, Cruz and Rubio have the upper hand, according to the data.
Poised to do well on Super Tuesday and beyond, the other candidates need to throw some major obstacles in his path to the nomination. If the field remains crowded, Trump could capture almost one-quarter of all the delegates he needs by winning each of those states, even if he gets less than half the vote.
In perhaps his most aggressive performance to date, Rubio brought up Trump’s four past bankruptcies, his use of imported Polish workers to work at a Florida resort and pointedly suggested the NY billionaire would not be where he is today in the real estate business without a family inheritance.
“I don’t know if they are delusional or not seeing the bigger picture or flat out in denial”, he said.
For Mr. Trump it was another strong showing and now some in the media are saying that his nomination is a lock.
