Senate to vote on blocking federal funding to Planned Parenthood

There are 54 Republicans and just a small handful of anti-abortion Democrats, though some abortion-rights Democrats have avoided defending the comments that Planned Parenthood officials made in the videos.

For 6 months, O’Donnell’s job was to identify pregnant women at Planned Parenthood who met criteria for fetal tissue orders and to harvest the fetal body parts after their abortions.

The organization has come under fire after recently released videos appear to show it has been selling the tissue of aborted fetuses to the highest bidder.

“We are making Planned Parenthood obsolete”, said Keffer.

Margaret Conditt (R-Liberty Twp.) responded to those videos with legislation that calls for the state to stop the distribution of a series of federal funds to any facilities that perform or promote abortions. Over the weekend, Planned Parenthood’s website was hacked and attackers threatened to release internal emails.

“We have plenty of low-cost, low-income health care, at least in the state of Indiana”, she says.

Pro-life supporters gathered at the state Capitol and 65 other places across the country to send a message; they don’t want taxpayer money funding Planned Parenthood.

“This rally and efforts like it are nothing but part of a decades-long campaign to deceive the public, terrorize women and their doctors, and attempt to take away basic healthcare services, including abortion, in Tennessee.”

“These words are meaningful today too because they talk about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”.

Planned Parenthood’s national leaders have stated that their clinics do not profit from fetal tissue donation, and that they only charge a nominal fee for procuring it.
