What’s a penny buy? J.C. Penney says come see
JCPenney is taking its name literally by launching a weeklong sale called “Penney Days” as the company continues to undergo a reinvention. “At various times throughout the year, we will make available a limited run of some of our five-star-rated items within our private brands so customers have the opportunity to try them for a penny”. With the “Get Your Penney’s Worth” program, store locations and jcp.com will sell undisclosed items for one cent. Other merchandise will be buy one, get another one for a penny. You buy an Arizona-brand item at full price and the second Arizona item is yours for just one-cent.
News of “Penney Days” comes as JCPenney’s quarter four report beat investors’ expectations and boasted 4.5 percent growth in sales for the year. Either way, this deal is too good to pass up.
On Monday, February 29, the first Penney Day event begins. (JCP) will be offering certain items from its private collections for just a penney. You can get actual stuff for a single penny at clothing retailer JCPenney.
The penny sales will include its in-house brands, like the Arizona line of products.
According to Fortune, the company is starting an ambitious turnaround plan that focuses on its in-house brands like Liz Claiborne and St. John’s Bay.
