Chris Christie endorses Donald Trump for Republican presidential nomination
Analysts said the New Jersey governor’s support for Trump, whose brash, provocative style of politics has turned the Republican race – and American politics – upside down, marked a potential turning point in the campaign.
During Thursday’s debate, Rubio and Texas Senator Ted Cruz, both went after Trump on a variety of topics, including immigration and Trump’s unwillingness to share his tax returns.
Mr Rubio said he saw Mr Trump applying makeup backstage, as well, because he had a “sweat moustache” he needed to cover up. Cruz spent the morning in Nashville, but his campaign team said Cruz plans to be back in his home state over the weekend and through Super Tuesday. Trump’s attacks on everyone are ugly.
The Christie announcement was followed by a almost hour long rally in Fort Worth where Mr. Trump openly mocked his competition including Florida Sen.

Cruz piled on, questioning the NY businessman’s conservative credentials.

It was a rare night where Trump found himself on the defensive.
The bickering left little time for Governor John Kasich and Dr Ben Carson to make a mark. He welcomed the more aggressive tone from Rubio. “Donald Trump was the first guy that begged for Secret Service protection”. And he said that because Mexico’s current and former presidents had criticized him on the issue, “the wall just got 10 feet taller”.
“If he builds the wall the way he built Trump Towers, he’ll be using illegal immigrant labour to do it”, Mr Rubio interjected.
“He should be ashamed of himself and he should apologize”, declared Trump.
The Independent Journal Review, along with Google Consumer Surveys, conducted a poll to determine who won Thursday’s Republican presidential candidate debate. Lindsey Graham derided Trump and said the party had gone “batshit insane”.

Cruz is widely disliked by fellow Republicans.
The 10th Republican debate failed to determine the Republican nominee to battle the Democrat’s top choice in the USA presidential election scheduled for November.
