AraabMuzik Recovering in Hospital After Being Shot in NY

The 26 year-old Providence, Rhode Island native known for his work with Cam’ron, Slaughterhouse, Styles P, and Capone-N-Noreaga was reportedly shot in a Manhattan parking garage last night (February 25).

Update: Swizz Beatz visited AraabMuzik, who is now in stable condition and recovering after surgery.

AraabMuzik and friend James Malloy were shot while in the ProPark America parking garage on W. 125th Street at approximately 7 pm EST. A bullet also grazed his head. The producer for the likes of The Diplomats, Fabolous, Busta Ryhmes and others was with his friend James Malloy, 32, when they were shot in Araabmuzik’s vehicle.

As they drove toward the garage’s exit, two men approached the auto, and one pretended that AraabMuzik had dropped something, sources say.

A statement released to Billboard.com by AraabMuzik’s representative on Friday (26Feb16) reads: “Last night, AraabMUZIK was shot in Harlem and the incident is now under investigation by the NYPD”.

Araabmuzik has made a strong name for himself in the hip-hop community for producing beats for some of the biggest rappers around. It was reported that police recovered three. The suspects fled from the scene on foot. In May 2013, the producer was shot during a robbery attempt for his expensive necklace.
