Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval doesn’t want to be Supreme Court justice

Sandoval, 52, is a former federal judge and popular second-term governor.
On Thursday, Sandoval took his name out of the running. Therefore McConnell does not even want a hearing. But once the obstructionists sense weakness, they’ll stop at nothing.
But the question remains: Would he have made a good justice?
The nomination is to fill the seat left vacant by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia earlier this month.
The Republican stance is so absurd and indefensible that it makes it easy for a potential challenger to simply promise to do the job for which the taxpayers pay them.
