Tangy. Spicy. Saucy. They are all ways to describe chicken wings, but on July 29 – affectionately recognized as “National Chicken Wing Day” – another word will be used to describe wings at WingStreet by Pizza Hut: cheap!
The buffalo wing was invented in 1964 at Anchor Bar in Buffalo after the owner tossed the usual scrap food in the deep fryer and coated them in butter mixed with hot sauce.
Chicken wing lovers, get ready for the big day. The boneless wings are $12.99 and the traditional wings are $14.99.
“We felt it was a great opportunity to bring a little more excitement to National Chicken Wing Day by offering a great deal on all of our wings and a special opportunity for all our social media fans on Twitter”. The photos will be judged by the involvement of Hooters, creativity and how well it represents the holiday and restaurant in a positive manner. If you’re the nationwide grand-prize victor, you will win gift certificates and even free wings for one year. Further details about the contest can be found here.
