Alabama center Ryan Kelly shines at National Football League scouting combine
Running back Keith Marshall has already made a name for himself at the 2016 National Football League scouting combine. Marshall didn’t crack Friday’s list of combine winners, however. While these numbers enter the freak-of-nature category, there are still concerns with Henry’s change-of-direction and lateral agility based off his below-average times in three cone (7.20) and short shuttle (4.38).
Dixon came into the combine projected as a second- or third-round pick.
Kelly got 26 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press, a solid number that ranked 16-best among offensive linemen.
Among the 29 running backs invited to perform in front of coaches, scouts, and team executives from the NFL’s 32 teams, the 5-foot-10, now 192-pound two-time all-conference selection recorded the second fastest 40-yard dash, second best vertical leap and tied for the second best standing broad jump.
In a one-on-one drill in which Dahl had to hold off an oncoming opponent, NFL Network analyst and former New York Giants offensive lineman Shaun O’Hara commented that the former WSU left tackle “makes it look easy” and said Dahl had “really good footwork”.
Former UGA and Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley also took to Twitter and predicted that Marshall would impress just before the 40-yard dash for running backs began.
Ervin was clocked officially in 4.41 in the 40. There will also be questions about how much of his success in college was because of Alabama’s offensive line.
