‘Key & Peele’ Season 5, Final Comedy Central Episodes – Sketch Duo Ending
The hilarious comedy duo of Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, otherwise known as Key & Peele, will be pulling the plug on their popular Comedy Central series Key and Peele after the end of this current, fifth season, reports Variety. Important explained it will give him and Peele time to “discover other things”.
This is the last season of “Key & Peele“, airing Wednesday nights on Comedy Central at 10 p.m. ET.
In an interview for the publication’s upcoming Emmy edition magazine, Key revealed that they have actually been keeping mum about the show’s ending “but Jordan and I were talking yesterday, and we decided it’s probably a good time to let people know”.
Season Five – which already finished filming – kicked off July 8 and runs through September.
“Just like that”, Key says upon Yoast’s selection by Central Rapids High School, “You’re a millionaire”.
Key & Peele was anecdotal proof that black comics, and the content they might produce about race every now and then, could be consistently appreciated by mainstream audiences who want to laugh.
Monday night’s Key and Peele sketch “Teacher Center” masterfully highlighted the inconsistencies in America’s economic priorities.
The program “received seven Emmy nominations this year, including noms for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series and an Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series nod for Key”, Variety notes. The duo first worked together for six seasons on “MadTV”.
