Motorola refreshes Android phones, offers better cameras
The story behind the story: Motorola’s announcement this morning was rather lackluster, generating about half the fanfare of the OnePlus event last night.
Which Moto is your flavor?
Talking about the 2nd generation Moto 360 smartwatch, it might sport a sleek and round face, 1.56-inch LCD display screen, 360 x 360 resolution.
As for the rumored specs of the handset, Android Authority has mentioned that the Moto G 3rd gen is going to be powered by a Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 610 processor with a clock speed of 1.7GHz. In an image of the third-generation Moto X 2015 posted on Chinese microblogging site Weibo, the handset can be seen in a stylish gold and white combination. It will arrive at Best Buy stores on August 2. The Style is offered with 16, 32, or 64GB of onboard storage, and there’s a microSD slot good for cards up to 128GB. The three phones are called the Moto G, the Moto X Style and the Moto X Play.
The Moto X Play is a small step-up from the Moto X, with slightly increased specification and a serviceable redesign.
Coming to Moto X, Motorola says that it has designed the new generation phones keeping “You” in mind. The improved Moto G has a 13-megapixel camera and 4G LTE. Motorola has also added a nano coating which makes it wager repellent. It’ll cost less, starting at $299, but it doesn’t have a U.S. launch date yet.
Jim Wicks, senior vice president of design at Motorola, said that the Moto X Style is the “fastest charging” smartphone using TurboPower, which provides 10 hours of power with 15 minutes of charging.
Motorola on Tuesday announced a trio of new smartphones under its Moto brand. We’re especially curious to put this to the test.
Is it worth upgrading to the new Motorola Moto G (2015)? But a phone with its features may appear under the Droid brand on Verizon Wireless nonetheless, the way last year’s Droid Turbo was known elsewhere in the world as the Moto Maxx.
The Moto G now comes with swappable back shells, and still costs $180 without any carrier subsidy – your carrier could end up selling it for even less than that.
