OSCARS: Alicia Vikander wins supporting actress prize
Alicia Vikander accepts the award for best actress in a supporting role for “The Danish Girl†at the Oscars on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
She won at the Academy Awards Sunday night for “The Danish Girl”. I share my award with my incredible crew from the film.
Jennifer Jason Leigh made the little black dress look anything but basic at her first Oscars in 2006. A slew of actors, actresses, directors, composers and more are expected to walk down the red carpet in hopes of winning an iconic gold statue at the industry’s oldest entertainment awards ceremony.
So we’ve rounded up the best Disney look-a-likes at the Oscars this year, according to social media of course.
Be Bold: “In 2012, Angelina [Jolie] showed up as the very last person on the red carpet, but in that black Versace gown”, Zee told ET.
Matt Damon arrived in a classic tux, while his wife Luciana Barroso chose a dramatic red shimmering dress.
Of her Louis Vuitton gown, she added: “I love the colour”.
She said: “This was designed by my stylist Brandon Maxwell who spent all week making five custom dresses for me and we chose this one yesterday”. She actually graduated from the Royal Swedish Ballet School.
“Back home I didn’t even know you could do films in English as a foreign language actress and if I could just continue to work that would be great”.
And Lady Gaga wowed in a light lilac Versace gown (complemented with pretty, muted makeup) for her first appearance in 2011.
“Alejandro (Gonzalez Inarritu) has achieved something that is quite transcendent and I’m proud to be representing a movie like this”.
