Warm and windy weather to start the weekend
Look for high temperatures today to max out in the middle 60s under sunny skies.
Wednesday night: Partly cloudy with lows in the mid-30s.
A pair of cold fronts will pass through to begin the week with the first arriving this evening. Cold and snow one day, sunny and warm the next.
Monday: Partly sunny with a 20 percent chance of showers. This will lead to temperatures 6-8 degrees above our high temperatures from yesterday. Warm, southerly winds ahead of the cold front will mean another mild afternoon.
Weaker storms and rain showers continue on Wednesday morning before departing to the east. Much cooler and drier air settles in the rest of the day and temperatures max out in the lower 50s. Most of the energy with this secondary front will also be departing to the north so rain chances only go up to about 40% for some evening showers or maybe a few t-storms. Even though we’ll have clear skies, a southwest breeze will mix the atmosphere and keep the mercury from plummeting. Breezy at times. High temperatures in the mid 60s.
Monday and Tuesday of next week temperatures will warm back up into the upper 70’s and lower 80’s. Storms should move into the state, and while they could bring gusty winds, it still doesn’t look like a major severe weather setup for now.
Tomorrow: Sun and Clouds. Highs in the lower 60s.
