Reliance Retail launches entry-level LYF-4G mobiles
Reliance Retail has unveiled the pricing and availability details of its 4G-enabled budget phones, aka the Lyf Flame 1 and Lyf Wind 6 in the Indian market.
Both the Lyf phones feature a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) chipset clocked at 1.1 GHz, Adreno 304 GPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage (expandable up to 32GB) and is loaded with Android Lollipop 5.1. The smartphone is launched in India at Rs. 7,090.
The LYF Flame 1 also features a 2,000mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE with VoLTE and VoWiFi support, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0.
The Lyf Flame 1 sports a 5-megapixel primary camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera on board, which can be considered the highlight of the handset at this price point. Smartphone is available in four vibrant colours – white, black, dark blue, and dark red. It also supports camera features such as blink detection, smile detection and so on. At its core is a Qualcomm Snapdragon Quad-Core processor with 1GB RAM.
According to the statement, the entry-level range from LYF is made unique by the fact that all these devices come equipped with cutting edge technology such as VoLTE and VoWi-Fi, which will deliver a True 4G experience when used on a VoLTE supporting network. The smartphones have 8GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded by up to 32GB via microSD card. It sports an 8MP rear camera with a 5MP front snapper. LYF Wind 6 comes with a 2,250mAh battery. On the other hand, the Wind 6 features a 5-inch FWVGA IPS display and will be available in Black, White and Gold colour options. The handset measures 143.5x72x8.7mm and weighs 156 grams.
