Whoopi shows off massive shoulder tattoo at Oscars
Doing their part to get into the Oscar spirit, health and beauty website Total Beauty was tweeting out photos of some of their favourite red carpet looks.
As you might not predict, Total Beauty’s response was not: the tweet stayed up for almost an hour before someone with some degree of sense or media savvy removed it. It was an embarrassing mistake, and it doesn’t appear Twitter users are going to let this faux pas go.
The mistake led to some satire, as wits on Twitter pretended to mistake white actresses for other white actresses.
Total Beauty went back to Twitter to offer an apology to its users.
“As for whether Oprah actually does have a tattoo, the jury is out”, joked KTLA.
Goldberg, who won an Oscar for her role in the 1990 film Ghost, mentioned that when she hosted the Oscars the ceremony was boycotted by the notorious Rev. Jesse Jackson. “If we’re not here, then we’re really not here”. Except the company, which claims it “brings you expert advice” on beauty products and deals, made somewhat of a snafu in tweeting a picture of Whoopi on the red carpet. It’s safe to say that the damage is done, and someone’s probably getting fired.
