3 injured in shooting at Ohio school; suspect in custody
School officials say Madison Jr/Sr High School will dismiss early once they get clearance to lift the lock down from the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.
The school said administrators have notified the parents of injured students and are asking others to avoid school grounds.
Sources tell 10TV at least three people have been shot at Madison High School in Butler County. All are expected to suvive, according to the school. A helicopter airlifted at least two of the victims to a hospital.
The school was placed on lockdown Monday morning following multiple reports of an active shooter.
The campus near Middletown, roughly 30 miles north of Cincinnati, is on lockdown and the website message says all other students are safe.
One suspect was in custody and the announcement did not mention a second shooter. Authorities have not released the name of the person in custody.
