Yoenis Cespedes Showed Up To Practice Today In A Flashy Car
Cespedes didn’t even own a auto in his native Cuba, telling reporters in Spanish that he had “A bike…and I walked”.
Yoenis Cespedes continued his spring training whip stunt session by showing up to the facility on Wednesday in a custom Lamborghini Aventador.
Built by Alex Vega, a Miami-based vehicle dealer and customizer, this Wrangler features a mild lift to fit 35-inch Nitto Trail Grappler M/ts wrapped around the custom red forged 22-inch Avorza wheels. Collins, per the New York Post’s Mike Puma, plans on having a little chit-chat with Cespedes about how he wears his hat. But on Friday, Cespedes is going big.
The skinny: Though Cespedes debuted this auto on Thursday, he has actually been letting teammate Wilmer Flores drive it for most of the spring.
“With this guy you can never underestimate”, Vega said. “So, I worked hard for it”.
Vega said Cespedes will cap his parade of cars on Saturday, though he promised to close out the show with a bang.
The surprise won’t include any aerial vehicles, however.
“I’m not going to mess with it”, Collins said via ESPN New York.
“It’s like a spaceship”, Cespedes said of the Jeep, which he counts as his favorite.
