Texans WR Jaelen Strong arrested for marijuana possession
The Texans selected Strong in the third of the 2015 draft. But, that’s exactly what he was arrested for on Sunday night. While the police did not arrest him, he did operate a vehicle where marijuana use appears to have taken place.
Police say Houston Texans wide receiver Jaelen Strong has been arrested for marijuana possession in the Phoenix suburb of Scottsdale. Then he finished pretty well and looked like the Week 1 starter opposite DeAndre Hopkins.
According to reports, Scottsdale police pulled over a black Maserati around midnight for not having a visible license plate. Strong and another passenger were inside. The police booked Strong into Scottsdale jail and later released him.
According to the report, when officers made contact with Randall they detected a strong marijuana odor “coming from the inside of the vehicle”. Randall was released at the scene. Like Strong, Randall also played at ASU. Texans coach Bill O’Brien said Thursday Strong “has a really good future” with the Texans. With this incident, expect some ramifcations, if Strong is found guilty, to be handed down from the National Football League putting some games in jeopardy for the upcoming season.
