Intense heat and humidity with a little relief late week
A few thunderstorms are possible.
Tuesday looks to be another hot/muggy day with highs into the upper-90s.
Overall, this week is good for auto washing. This leaves us with a warm and muggy night. Temperatures will drop all the way into the low and mid 60s, thanks to the very dry air.
A cold front will move through late Thursday into early Friday with some thunderstorms. But humidity levels are low, and should stay that way at least through tomorrow. Those that did not saw temperatures hover in the mid 90s throughout the daytime hours. The humidity will make it feel like the middle to upper 90s at times. Readings are near 90, but a cold front brings the chance for showers and thunderstorms.
However, as Oklahomans we know that the official arrival of fall may not necessarily mean cooler temperatures. Southwest and west winds along with mostly sunny skies will quickly push temperatures into the upper 80s and low 90s.
The combination of the hottest and most humid weather will coincide on Thursday, which happens to be the first day of training camp downtown.
Have a great week!
