Fire Emblem Fates sets a new record in the US
Nintendo’s Scott Moffit chalks the strong launch numbers to Fire Emblem’s increasing appeal among fans and critics. According to Nintendo, sales for all three releases of Fates (Birthright, Conquest, and the ultra rare Special Edition) managed to hit a combined total of over 300,000 units across three days.
Adding DLC to the game early isn’t the only way hackers are running the show on Fire Emblem Fates.
Fire Emblem Fates sales topped more than 300,000 combined units in the USA during its debut weekend, making it the fastest-selling game in the series. Nintendo did not provide an exact sales breakdown for all Fates releases, but was willing to reveal that Birthright was the top selling version with Conquest “coming close behind”.
The two versions of Fire Emblem Fates are just the beginning. Thats not super surprising, since most reviews pointed out that Birthright was a bit easier than Conquest and, without diving into plot specifics, appears to be the better starting point between the two games. By purchasing Map Pack 1 DLC for only $17.99, 11 maps plus bonus content will be available as they are released at a discount when compared to buying each map individually. Role-playing games FINAL FANTASY EXPLORERS from SQUARE ENIX and Project X Zone 2 from BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America, Inc. also recently launched for Nintendo 3DS.
