Condition of teen injured in shooting spree improving
They say their “hearts are full of joy”, and call it a milestone.
Vickie Kopf posted an update about her daughter on Facebook. “She’s breathing on her own and she wiped off her own face”, the mother said. “I will keep you in my prayers”, one donor wrote.
Supporters have donated more than $17,000 to Kopf’s GoFundMe page to help her family pay medical bills.
Bronson Hospital upgraded Kopf’s condition to “serious” Monday morning, after the girl has been in “critical” condition since being shot outside the Kalamazoo Cracker Barrel restaurant February 20th.

The accused gunman, 45-year-old Jason Dalton, is jailed on 16 felonies, including six counts of open murder. Her parents were making organ donor arrangements when Abigail miraculously squeezed her mother’s hand, according to the CBS News.
The girl squeezed her mother’s hand again when asked if she could hear them. “She was not done fighting for her life”, said the posting. “I want everyone to understand that Abigail is strong and she is a vibrant, attractive young lady that didn’t deserve this.
