Ohio pastor shot, killed on Sunday at his church
William Schooler once served on the Dayton Public Schools Board of Education and as president of the Dayton Baptist Pastors and Ministers Union of Greater Dayton, according to WDTN.
Witnesses said the shooting happened while the choir was singing.
The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 70-year-old William B. Schooler.
DAYTON, Ohio (AP) – The brother of a slain southwest Ohio pastor was expected to be charged Monday in the fatal shooting that occurred at the pastor’s church office as services were winding down, police said.
The suspect was taken into custody after the shooting. He was a beloved leader.

Daniel Gregory Schooler, 68, was arrested and booked into Montgomery County Jail, but charges have not been formally pressed. Williams said police were not yet releasing additional details of the incident.
The pastor died from his injuries, WHIO reports.
“We were still having church services when he started shooting, and everybody ran”, a woman said in a 911 call recording obtained by CNN affiliate WHIO. They said Rev. Schooler had just walked up to the pulpit and the shooter followed him.
The real estate in question included the church on Nancy Avenue where the Rev. Schooler was killed Sunday.
Officers and a medic responded shortly before 12:30 p.m.
