Sunday Oliseh vows to ‘expose’ NFF
Nigeria squad that will be facing Egypt in a crucial 2017 Orange AFCON qualifier will be announced on Thursday, March 25th.
“We have so many ex-players who know the game, and have seen how footballers are treated outside Nigeria”.
The NFF also blamed Oliseh for the resignation of Vincent Enyeama from the Super Eagles and also apologised to Nigerians for the whole controversy.
“We find it odd though that, after complaints of non-payment, Oliseh waited to receive moneies owed him before resigning. Maybe we can get back with these ex-players”, Emeghara added.
Oliseh responded in an interview with BBC Sport that he felt was not “only playing against my opponents but I felt I was also playing against my own federation, especially the technical committee”. We are now going to start shopping for a well-grounded and qualified foreign coach to tinker the team.
But the NFF statement, which was issued on Monday, stressed that Oliseh had violated several clauses in his contract and embarrassed his “tolerant employers” on several occasions.
Siasia will be assisted by former World Cup teammate Emmanuel Amunike Siasia was Nigeria’s coach between December 2010 and October 2011 but fired after the populous west African country failed to qualify for the 2012 Nations Cup.
Lille of France goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama has debunked the rumours milling around that he is planning to stage a comeback to the Super Eagles following the exit of Chief Coach Sunday Oliseh from the team.
Oliseh has since been replaced with Samson Siasia ahead of the 2017 AFCON qualifier double fixture against Egypt in March.
