‘Fallout Shelter’ Gets Its Biggest Update Yet, Adds Crafting and More

In addition, this update will introduce new weapons and armor from the Fallout 4 video game, which players will be able to craft or find in lunchboxes. The new update also has a feature that helps indicate the time of day with the sun outside the vault.

The developers have yet to forget about Fallout Shelter though, a new update for the mobile game will be bringing much more content to the post-nuclear fallout game. Finally, you’ll be able to craft your own items.

New Rooms! Build the new Weapon and Armour crafting rooms and use them to create your own items in game!

Fallout Shelter is also including new pets for your dwellers, so be on the lookout for parrots, plus new cats and dogs. Aside from crafting, the update will bring two new room types, one for weapon and one for armor crafting. New pups and kittens will come with the latest update, as will parrots.

As part of this new system, the randomized loot contained in Fallout Shelter’s lunchboxes will soon include junk items that can be used as crafting material. You can check out a full list of additions at Bethesda’s site.

Except Fallout Shelter was way more than that, and quickly topped the App Store charts. Given that Vault simulation is its #1 goal, time of day is now properly reflected in the game.

Since launching on iOS and Android devices, Fallout Shelter has received Best of 2015 awards from both Apple and Google and has won multiple mobile game of the year awards, including D.I.C.E. and Golden Joystick. Update 1.4 is set to go live for everyone no later than by the end of the week.
